5-year-old girl killed in the Aluva sexual assault and murder case; Kerala Police tweets "sorry daughter"



A little girl was brutally raped and strangled to death after being kidnapped by a migrant worker from her home, according to police, in an event that has shocked Kerala society.

Numerous people gathered up in support of the accused, calling for harsh punishment, including the death penalty, at the school where her body was held. People of all ages and ethnicities turned out to pay their respects to the kid at the school where she was a student up until Thursday.

According to a police officer quoting the autopsy report, the five-year-old was raped before being strangled to death. In the adjacent Aluva, her corpse was discovered in a bag placed in a swampy area behind a small market.

"A FIR was filed before 8 PM on Friday after we received the complaint at 7:10 PM. Our staff learned the youngster was with the labour when they looked at the CCTV footage. We managed to get him at precisely 9.30 PM. He wasn't holding the female, and he was intoxicated, Vivek Kumar, Ernakulam Rural SP, said the media.

According to the police chief, the suspect confessed to the crime early on Saturday and disclosed where he had taken the child. The suspect, according to the police, had just moved into the apartment block where the youngster and her family lived. Additionally, they said that he wrapped the girl's corpse in garbage and bags before throwing it away in a marshy location. He was apprehended based on the CCTV footage, however the interrogation procedure took longer due to his drunkenness.
