Himachal Pradesh is now facing a financial loss of 75,000 crore from this year's monsoon due to the persistent rain that caused landslides there, which resulted in the deaths of 71 people in the previous three days. All Schools in Shimla will all be closed on Thursday due to the numerous landslides that have blocked the roadways.

Up until August, Himachal has already seen above-seasonal rainfall. This year's monsoon, which lasted 54 days, brought 742mm of rain to the state, compared to the typical 730mm for the whole season. 10 dead after landslip and rain in Uttarakhand
