'Gadar 2' vs 'OMG 2' worldwide box office collection

The highly anticipated box-office clash between 'Gadar 2' and 'OMG 2' has piqued everyone's interest. While the sequel to the 2001 hit 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha' has successfully entered the Rs 268 crore club, the sequel to 2012'OMG - Oh My God!' has just reached the Rs 86 crore-mark.

The creators of 'Gadar 2' turned to social media to announce that the Anil Sharma-directed film has made Rs 268.98 crore in India. According to the press release, 'Gadar 2' has broken "records and emerged as an unprecedented cinematic triumph, setting a new benchmark" in Indian film.

On Independence Day, 'Gadar 2' had capacity challenges in single screens and multiplexes, according to Adarsh. He believes that if 'Gadar 2' had been released alone, it may have been a huge hit.

"In this case, demand clearly outnumbers supply, as 'OMG 2' has taken away a significant number of screens, shows, footfalls, and revenue," he stated.

According to Sumit Kadel, a cinema trade analyst, experts are comparing 'Gadar 2' collections to those of 'Pathaan,' which grossed more than Rs 1,000.

According to film critic and trade expert Sumit Kadel, OMG 2 is expected to exceed the Rs 100 crore mark at the domestic box office in its second weekend. Within its first seven days in cinemas, the film had earned around Rs 86.22 crore.

The Akshay Kumar film earned Rs 10.26 crore on its first day, Rs 15.30 crore on its second day, Rs 17.55 crore on its third day, Rs 12.06 crore on its fourth day, Rs 17.10 crore on its fifth day, about Rs 7.75 crore on its sixth day, and around Rs 6.20 crore on its seventh day.
