ISRO scientists hear from PM Narendra Modi




The ISRO scientists who were responsible for the Chandrayaan-3 mission's success met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday. At the ISRO headquarters in Bengaluru today, PM Modi received a cordial welcome. PM Modi was informed by ISRO Chairman S. Somanath on the Chandrayaan-3 Mission's voyage and the work that scientists put into the project. The PM hailed Bengaluru residents outside HAL airport following his arrival and raised the slogan "Jai Vigyan Jai Anusandhan" before addressing the ISRO scientists.

When he arrived at the Garden City, Prime Minister Modi said, "I could not stop myself because I was not in the country, but I decided to visit Bengaluru first and meet our scientists right after visiting India."

At the ISRO headquarters in Bengaluru on Saturday, Prime Minister Modi announced that India will observe August 23 as "National Space Day" to commemorate the successful touch down of the Chandrayaan-3 mission's lander.

PM Modi names the Chandrayaan-3 landing site on the moon "Shivshakti"

The location of Chandrayaan-3's lunar landing will be known as "Shivshakti," according to an announcement made by PM Modi at ISRO headquarters.

PM Modi praised ISRO scientists, saying, "Our scientists created a fake Moon at ISRO research centre to test the gentle landing of the lander. Given that the lander completed several tests prior to landing on the Moon, success seemed certain.

Tiranga point will be the name of the Chandrayaan-2 landing.

The location where Chandrayaan-2 made its mark on the lunar surface in 2019 will be called as "Tiranga Point," according to PM Modi.
