Jailer box office collection Day 7: Rajinikanth film collects Rs 450 crore globally in a week, becoming the quickest film in history to break Rs 150 crore in Tamil Nadu.

Box office gross for Jailer Day 7: The film, which stars Rajinikanth, has a domestic nett collection of Rs 225.65 crore, while its international total has surpassed Rs 450 crore.

On Independence Day, Rajinikanth's Jailer broke the Rs 200 crore milestone (domestic), and on its seventh day in theatres, the picture has managed to pull in Rs 15 crore throughout India, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. This brings the film's nett domestic collection in one week to Rs 225.65 crore. On Wednesday, the jail had a 42.43% occupancy rate.

Jailer's box office run got off to a great start with a whopping Rs 48.35 crore on the first day. The movie was anticipating some competition from Chiranjeevi's Bhola Shankar on its second day, but that didn't exactly materialise. Jailer is doing exceptionally well in the South, but Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 is taking over in the North. Gadar 2 is currently the second-highest grossing Hindi film of the year, right after Pathaan.

According to trade expert Manobala Vijayabalan, Jailer's current global gross receipts is Rs. 450.80 crore. The analyst asserts that the movie made Rs 95.78 crore on its first day, which served as the beginning of its worldwide box office run.

The film’s earnings in Tamil Nadu currently stand at Rs 159.02 crore, making it the “fastest ever in the history of Tamil Cinema to reach Rs 150 crore in just seven days,” as per Manobala Vijayabalan.

The Nelson Dilipkumar film, also starring Ramya Krishnan, Vinayakan, Yogi Babu and Mohanlal, released with a UA certificate and received a 3.5 star rating from indianexpress.com’s Kirubhakar Purushothaman, who called it a “good masala film.” “Nelson Dilipkumar film is Rajinikanth’s version of Kamal Haasan’s Vikram, but with a twist. Saying that doesn’t take away anything from this fun-filled entertainer,” read a part of the review.
