Pakistan praises India for the success of Chandrayaan-3

The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on Friday (August 25) during a weekly news conference: "India going to the Moon is a huge achievement. We salute the Indian scientists for reaching this accomplishment.

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) became the first country to successfully land a rover on the South Poleof the Moon, giving Pakistan the opportunity to congratulate India for its historic Chandrayaan-3 Mission.

For India and the rest of the world, as well as for the South Poleof the Moon, the successful landing represented a paradigm change in the field of space exploration. Just a few days after a Russian probe crashed in the same area, India, along with the rest of the world, applauded when Chandrayaan-3, an unmanned spacecraft, touched down.

Leaders from across the world applauded Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was able to witness it digitally while in South Africa for the BRICS Summit. He was pictured grinning widely as he described the mission's accomplishment as a victory that went beyond the boundaries of his nation.

"On this happy occasion, I would like to address the people of the world," Prime Minister Modi stated. The Moon mission that India successfully completed is not only India's. This triumph belongs to mankind as a whole.

It seems that India's rivals were less than pleased, too, since it took Pakistan two days to send its best wishes to the Indian space agency while China is still entirely silent.

S Somanath, The Director General of ISRO, stated on Thursday that researching the Moon's South Pole might lead to the discovery of water and a wealth of scientific information. Though its rocky terrain makes landing difficult, the Moon's craggy South Pole is sought after because of its water ice, which is thought to be capable of supplying fuel, oxygen, and drinking water for upcoming expeditions.
